3rd IFC - EURO FINANCE WEEK Conference: “Innovations in Emerging Markets Finance”
IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, and the State of Hessen will host the 3rd IFC - EURO FINANCE WEEK Conference on 17 November 2011. The IFC as the largest global development institution focuses exclusively on the private sector and helps developing countries achieve sustainable growth by financing investment, providing advisory services to businesses and governments, and mobilizing capital in the international financial markets.
With an all-time high of nearly $19 billion of investments in fiscal 2011, IFC helped their clients create jobs, strengthen environmental performance, and contribute to their local communities. But money alone can’t address the needs of the developing world. New approaches to the most pressing challenges – from food and water security to climate change to job creation, especially for women and youth – need to be found.
Please join us to discuss “Innovations in Emerging Markets” with speakers such as Volker Bouffier, Minister President of the State of Hessen; Rashad-Rudolf Kaldany, Vice President Global Industries, IFC; Vibhuti Sharma, Managing Director, Global Head Development Organizations of Standard Chartered Bank and John R. Peachey, Managing Director, Global Head Financing Solutions Group, HSBC.
All conference participants are invited to visit also the closing session of the Global Finance Conference which will discuss “Trends in African Financial Markets”.
