Afrika-Verein supports Africa Business Week
The Maleki Group and the Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. (German-African Business Association) cooperate in the Africa Business Week 2012. The newly appointed president Dr Stefan Liebing and designated Chief Executive Officer Christoph Kannengießer will speak at the event.
The Africa Business Week will take place from 21 – 25 May 2012 in Frankfurt am Main and Bonn. It stands under the patronage of Dirk Niebel, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, and Volker Bouffier, Minister President of the State of Hessen. The event enjoys the support of several German Federal Ministries well as high profile institutions, companies and distinguished speakers.
For the first time in Germany, a full week of conferences is exclusively dedicated to connecting African and European business. The Africa Business Week aims to foster cooperation and networks, and brings highly topical issues from Finance, Investments, Capacity Development and Education, Mining and Resources as well as Energy up for debate. Several hundred professionals from various industries as well as representatives of the public sector will participate as speakers and delegates each day.
The Afrika-Verein promotes trade with and investments in African countries. The association has more than 700 members, including German multinationals and many small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Africa Business Week is a project of Maleki Group in cooperation with the Afrika-Verein.
