Restructuring Global Finance: The Road Ahead

With more than 550 speakers and 10,000 visitors from 60 countries, the EURO FINANCE WEEK is the largest meeting point for the finance, insurance and real estate industry in Europe. In approximately 30 conferences with 150 panel discussions and expert rounds, the event provides a comprehensive overview of the topics that are currently moving the industry. In addition, numerous evening events, get-togethers and receptions held throughout the week offer plenty of networking opportunity.

The 12th EURO FINANCE WEEK takes place from 16 to 20 November 2009 in Frankfurt, Germany. Traditionally, the week concentrates especially on the integration and regulation of European financial markets. This year’s thematic focus will highlight in particular the restructuring of the global financial architecture, the development of new, sustainable business models for financial institutions, as well as issues relating to Risk Management, Solvency II, Transaction Banking, Retail Banking, Fighting Money Laundering and Fraud, and Corporate Governance. In addition to the public conferences, Executive Round Tables for CEOs, CIOs, CFOs and CROs enable dialogue and discussion on an executive level in an exclusive setting.

In order to complement the political and regulatory conferences with a hands-on, solutions-oriented programme and to further optimize the networking character of the EURO FINANCE WEEK, this year’s event will feature a new „EURO FINANCE WEEK Market Place“.This central meeting point offers companies the opportunity to reach out to clients and partners via a stand in the market place’s exhibition area. Simultaneously, the market place offers integrated presentation islands and conference areas for the presentation and discussion of business solutions for banks and insurance companies.

Furthermore, the EURO FINANCE WEEK dedicates a separate programme segment, the ”4th F.A.Z. Career in Finance Forum”, to career and education in order to promote the dialogue between Junior High Potentials from universities and the finance industry. The career forum offers discussion rounds with experts from academia and the industry and an exhibition area where human resources departments of leading financial institutions and consulting companies present career options in their institutions. With more than 600 top students participating each year, the F.A.Z. Career in Finance Forum offers companies a unique opportunity to get in touch with tomorrow’s generation of leaders.

The EURO FINANCE WEEK closes off traditionally at Frankfurt’s Old Opera with the Frankfurt European Banking Congress, Europe’s most prestigious banking summit, and a Benefit Gala, the main gala event for the finance industry in Germany.

Every year, more than 200 sponsors, media partners and co-hosting institutions contribute to the programme of the EURO FINANCE WEEK. We would be delighted to welcome you and your company as a guest or active partner for the 12th EURO FINANCE WEEK from 16 to 20 November in Frankfurt am Main.
