European Finance and Insurance between Regulation and Innovation
With more than 550 speakers and 10,000 visitors from 60 countries, the EURO FINANCE WEEK is the largest meeting point for the finance and insurance industries in Europe.
In 30 symposia with approximately 150 panel discussions and workshops, the event provides a comprehensive overview over the topics that are currently moving the industry. The integration of European financial markets in a regulatory framework is given special attention in this context.
Parallel to the political-regulatory conferences of the EURO FINANCE WEEK, 250 exhibitors present technology solutions for the finance and insurance sector at the European Banking & Insurance Fair (E.B.I.F.). At the heart of the fair is the Business Solutions Forum, where IT-companies, together with their clients, present implemented best-practice solutions relating to the main regulatory and strategic topics addressed during the week.
This year, the EURO FINANCE WEEK is under the patronage of Peer Steinbrück, Federal Minister of Finance of Germany, and Roland Koch, Prime Minister of the State of Hessen. The week will be opened with a conference on the Financial Centre Germany. The headlining conferences of the 10th EURO FINANCE WEEK will again be hosted in co-operation with major association and regulatory bodies and focus on pan-European issues such as SEPA, MiFID, Solvency II, and the fighting of money laundering and economic crime. As the global conference highlight, the Frankfurt European Banking Congress will complete the week’s conference programme, followed by the Finanzplatz Gala, the festive conclusion of the week at Frankfurt’s Old Opera House.
